Problem of Hatching Eggs

This story about his hobby of chicken breeding, he just bought a very basic incubator for christmas and want to know the in and out of hatching eggs. To understand how to use egg incubator actually there is a guidance book should read on the appliance you may buy. My advice after reading and doing is to ignore the incubator other than checking temperature, humidity and turning eggs. It will mesmerize you for days at point of hatch.

Hello my name is Michele and I am a incubating addict. I have 4 different settings as we speak. One incubator in lock down with BCM's. Second incubator with Wynette's BCM's, Silkies, Bob whites for a neighbor and a hen that has resigned herself to sit on eggs no mater what happens, still has not hatched any and she's been trying all summer. I just got done with a hatch on Tuesday, another hen hatch 4 and I got 4. (Michele)

My husband said after the last hatch I did "This is the last one for the year right?" I said yeah, of course it's getting cold don't want to have chicks in the house all winter. Then I set 12 more eggs.

It would just take that one batch of eggs that did really well in shipping and you would have a ton of chicks. I started out with 14 chicks. I did 10 eggs my first hatch and got 5 chicks, then I did a second hatch with 36 eggs and got 12 chicks, then I did 42 eggs and got only 7. I am just thinking if by some chance I get a really good batch of eggs I would be over run. My only problem now is my ratio of boys to girls. Out of the first two hatches I have 9 boys. Not sure about the last one yet they are too young but I am sure that half or more are boys (it seems like a year for it).
